Improving the quality of life by making use of the knowledge and expertise of highly qualified professionals from the work field of psychology begins with you: the psychology student! We, from SPS-NIP, are here to facilitate you in making the optimal step from student towards the work field. In order to achieve this, we support you in receiving a good image of the current work field and the continuously changing work opportunities. Moreover, we offer you the handles to develop on both a professional and personal level. This way, you can distinguish yourself from the thousands of other psychology students!
The National Board consists of seven students who work fulltime to look after the interests of psychology students. Moreover, the Board coordinates the student section of the Dutch Institute of Psychologists. The Students in Sections (SiS) are students who take a position in several sections of Psychology (e.g. Neuro Psychology, Clinical Psychology) and central committees, to represent psychology students. Six national Committees and eleven Regional Boards organize all sorts of activities on both national and regional level. The Trainers Office provides students with several kinds of training. Internship recruiters keep our internship department up to date. Every year, we spread out a survey in order to study the interests of psychology students in the Netherlands. By doing this, we make the link between what you need as a student and how we can provide this. Furthermore, SPS-NIP represents psychology students internationally as a part of the European Federation of Psychology Students Associations (EFPSA).
