Becoming a member
Membership Requirements
You can become a member of the NIP if:
- You have a bachelor's and a Master's degree in Psychology obtained at a Dutch research university or you have the former Dutch title of doctorandus in Psychology
- Your foreign degree is equivalent to the Dutch degree.
- You obtained your degree in Psychology (licentiaat) at a Belgian university
- You are currently studying psychology at a Dutch research university. See Student Membership
When you are from abroad and you want to become a member of the NIP, it is important that you get your qualifications evaluated. Once your qualifications have been recognised as equivalent to the Dutch qualifications you can become a full member of the NIP and will be entitled to make use of all the facilities of the association. However, you can become a candidate member of the NIP while awaiting the recognition of your degree. You will then receive the monthly journal De Psycholoog.
